Coach RRQ Ewok: There’s Still Revenge Against Talon, Wants Revenge At VCT Week 8.
VCT 2023 Pacific League only has 2 matches left. In week 8 all teams will play 2 times to finish the regular season.
RRQ is currently in 6th place, the last position to enter the playoffs. They and Team Secret have the same record of 3 wins and 4 losses. So the remaining 2 matches are very important for both teams.
RRQ’s next opponent is Talon Esports, a team that has been on the rise lately. Talon with a 2-5 record also still has a small chance to qualify for the playoffs.
So RRQ and Talon are the 2 teams that have to win their match. Talon is a team that has 3 core players from X10 and also Xerxia. Where they have always been able to dominate the Southeast Asian scene in 2020-2022.
Coach RRQ Ewok, who once coached the ONIC Esports team, is no stranger to Talon players. Several times these Talon players have broken the hearts of Indonesian fans by defeating ONIC Esports and BOOM Esports in VCT Southeast Asia.

During the scrum interview, Ewok explained what RRQ should do to be able to win this match against Talon and strengthen their playoff position.

Ahead of the Talon match, Ewok said that he really knows this team because they often sent their team home last year. And he also wants revenge for last year’s defeats.
“This is a team that I respect a lot, I had many sad nights because of the old Xerxia roster that was formed into the Talon roster now, so I know what they are capable of, they have beaten my previous team several times, have a bit of grudge and want revenge.” said the coach from South Africa.
The Ewok said they should focus on RRQ’s own gameplay rather than the opponent’s. The key is where they can play comfortably as they describe.

Talon Crws Have the Same Mind Against RRQ
Talon Esports player, Crws also has the same thoughts against RRQ. During the scrum interview, IGL Talon said they didn’t pay much attention to RRQ’s game, they were more concerned with their own performance.
“I mean was it a tougher fight, I don’t think every game would be difficult if we didn’t play our game. ThursI just focus on how we are going to play, the atmosphere, the mood, the communication, the way we play. It doesn’t matter how they play, it just depends on us.” said Crews.
