BOOM Esports Ends Cinderella Story Dominatus, Champion of Valorant Challengers Indonesia 2023, Becomes Indonesia’s Representative at VCT Ascension 2023!
Valorant Challengers Indonesia Split 2 has ended, and Indonesia has its representative for VCT Ascension 2023. BOOM Esports managed to break the story of Cinderella Dominatus to win Challengers Indonesia 2023.
From barely making the playoffs, Dominatus has shocked the Valorant world by making his way into the Grand Finals via the upper bracket. On the way, he defeated ARF Team, Bigetron Arctic and also BOOM Esports to become the first team in the Grand Finals.
The defeat in the upper finals match provided many lessons for BOOM Esports to defeat Dominatus in the grand finals with a score of 3-1.

When asked for an interview after winning, Coach BOOM Esports Meow said what they did differently in this grand finals rematch.
“We try in the upper finals to try some new things. Give them space and play from behind. We know that it doesn’t work. We have to fight them up front. Ray4c is just jumping around, satchel over people. we just have to fight with him. I said to my team, don’t give them space, fight them.” Meow said.
Indeed BOOM Esports looks very different in this grand finals. Even though they have lost in the upper finals against Dominatus, BOOM is still the underdog for this match.
The first 2 maps are the same map when these two teams played the upper finals. Playing on Ascent, you can see BOOM’s performance is very different.
In this match they were more prepared and braver to fight in front and proved successful. They are much better prepared to delay Ray4c’s movements or ready to cross-fire to hold back a team as aggressive as Dominatus.
BOOM really dominates this 1 Ascent map and makes Dominatus not move.
On map 2 Pearl, BOOM also looks very ready to withstand the movements and play from Ray4c and Dominatus. Like Ascent, BOOM went 9-3 in the first half and although struggled a bit in the second half

Dominatus had chased it to a score of 12-10, before being shut down by BOOM Esport with a triple kill from blazek1ng.
On map 3 Split, BOOM was even a little overwhelmed by Ray4c and Risen’s play. With this small and narrow map, Raze Ray4c’s moves are much more effective. Proven in the map point for Dominatus, Ray4c with his judge was able to get 2 kills in the Viper Pit to give Dominatus this third map.

Map 4 Bind was fairly even for these two teams in the first half. After trailing 3-6, BOOM was able to catch up to 6-6. But in the second half, BOOM looked to be a very different team.
Immediately looks more dominant and understands better looking to play this map. Able to retake 4 times in the first 5 rounds to go 10-7. Before closing with a score of 13-7.

With this result, BOOM Esports will become Indonesia’s representative team at the VCT Ascension later. VCT Ascension will bring together 10 teams from Asia Pacific to get 1 slot to the VCT 2024 Pacific League franchise.
Ascension will be held in Bangkok, Thailand from 28 June 2023 to 10 July 2023.
