VCT Ascension Pacific 2023: Format, Team & Schedule You Need to Know!

After almost half a year of playing in the VCT Challengers Pacific league from their respective regions, 10 teams will compete to claim the VCT Ascension champion.

Why is this such a big and important tournament for all teams in Valorant? Because only 1 team will advance to a slot in the Valorant Asia Pacific league, the VCT Pacific League 2024.

VCT Ascension Pacific provides teams in Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Oceania, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia & Singapore, Taiwan & Hong Kong and South Asia with the opportunity to be promoted to international leagues for spots in global tournaments, Masters and Champions. They will also compete for a total prize pool of USD 100,000.

The tournament will be played on LAN in front of a live audience in Bangkok, Thailand. Ticket information will be announced soon, so stay tuned!

VCT Ascension 2023 Format

The tournament will start with Group Stages. A total of 2 groups of 5 teams each will fight through round robins single in format Best-of-3.

Top three teams from each group will advance to the Playoffs. Top two teams from Group Stages going straight to semifinals. The other four teams will start in the Quarterfinals.

The playoffs will use a single elimination bracket (single elimination playoffs), so once you lose you will be eliminated immediately.

The early Playoffs round will use Best-of-3 format followed by Best-of-5 Grand Finals.

Ascension Pacific will feature 10 days of intense competition from 28 June-9 July 2023. The tournament is divided into two stages:

Group Stages: June 28-July 4
Playoffs: July 7-9

Tournament matches will start at the following hours:

Group Stages: 13.00 WIB
Playoffs: 16.00 WIB

There will be 10 teams that will compete in VCT Ascension 2023. 1 team from each country or region in Asia Pacific will represent their country.
