Genshin Impact has been running for about 3 years and in the next patch it will enter a new region where there will be new elements that are rumored to be coming.

New Elements Pneuma and Ousia

The two are Pneuma and Ousia which are described as pure and dark or light and dark elements.

Later this element will only be owned by characters from the Fontaine region, so later on in that region there will be enemies that can only be defeated with this element.

For enemies with the Pneuma element, they can only be paralyzed with Ousia and vice versa. So, the existence of this character will really help defeat this character.

Reportedly there will be a character that has both at the same time (possibly Archon Hydro). Archon Hydro is said to have two personalities where each personality will represent each element.
