Valorant RRQ Targeted Players Will Be Cornered By Other Asian Teams?

Valorant Esports has entered a new era since the end of September 2022 yesterday. Where there are only 30 teams that will play in the highest league, namely in their partnership league.

This partnership or semi-franchise league is divided into 3 regions, America, Europe and Asia Pacific. Only 10 teams will play in this highest league from each region.

In this Asian region, there are 10 teams competing, namely, DRX, Gen.G, T1, DetonatioN Gaming, ZETA DIVISION, Talon Esports, Team Secret, Global Esports, Paper Rex and RRQ.

Roster Update RRQ Valorant

As confirmed, RRQ is the only team from Indonesia that has been selected for this franchise league. And the CEO of RRQ, Andrian “AP” Pauline has also confirmed that their team will mix roster from Indonesia and the Philippines.

And Mr. AP has also said there are 6 Indonesian players who will trial for the RRQ Valorant roster in the 2023 Pacific League VCT.

The latest news coming from RRQ’s trial roster is that because it took them a long time to make a decision about their roster, they will lose some of the best players from Indonesia.

News from Seulgi, a reporter for Valorant, said 2 highly sought after players from Indonesia were Tea bottle and also Lmemore. Tea bottle and also Lmemore still contracted by BOOM Esports and also ONIC Esports respectively.

Of course, Tehbotol is a target player because he is one of the best controllers in Asia at the moment and Lmemore is also the player with the best aim in Indonesia. Her tweet says:

Rex Regum Qeon is in talks to sign Tehbotol and Lmemore to the roster.

The talks come following proposed offers from other organizations for the possibility of taking two players. RRQ has several other players on trial.

However, someone else can beat RRQ.”

This tweet was also replied by the CEO of BOOM Esports, Gary Ongko, “first come first served guys”.

Not Only Tehbotol & Lmemore, Indonesian Players Are Eyed by Korean & Japanese Teams

Maybe it’s been a long time since RRQ has made their decision for this Valorant roster, making them easy to be cornered by other big Asian teams as well.

Seulgi also gave the latest info about RRQ and Tehbotol and Lmemore:

“New: Organizations from East Asia have been looking for Indonesian players for their roster.

Some very famous Indonesian players from several ID organizations have been given offers from East Asia.

This includes Tehbotol & Lmemore, which means they may not be on RRQ. #VCT”

From Seulgi’s tweet, it seems that Indonesian players have received many offers from East Asian teams, possibly from South Korea and Japan.

For franchise teams, they may come from teams such as Gen.G, DetonatioN Gaming and Team Secret which do not yet have a definite roster.

Gen.G The South Korean team is also rumored not to be building a roster with only Korean players. They will make a mix roster from all over Asia. Before Gen.G made an announcement they were looking for Valorant players for their roster and one of the most important things was being able to speak English.

For RRQ itself, when the news of the mix roster was confirmed, many Indonesian fans were already disappointed because of course they wanted to see the full Indonesian roster from the RRQ team itself. But RRQ also wants to build the best team they can with Indonesian and Filipino players.

We are currently waiting, which Indonesian players have received and will receive offers from outside teams or franchise teams.
