RRQ Starts Building VALORANT Team With The Acquisition Of Tehbotol From BOOM.

Indonesian organization RRQ will sign 1 new player from Indonesia to start rebuilding the VALORANT roster for VCT 2023, multiple sources have confirmed to Ominous, analyst at BLEED Esports.

One star controller David “Tehbotol” Monangin will join the RRQ Valorant team. This will be the second arrival of the RRQ team for next year’s VCT season, which will kick off in February.

RRQ’s roster list is currently not confirmed because they are still thinking about the roster composition of their trial. It is also rumored that there will be at least 3 Indonesian players in this roster with 2 Filipino players to complete it.

One other player who is interested in RRQ’s acquisition from Indonesia is ONIC G player, Hagai “Lmemore” Kristen Yesyurun. Which is currently reportedly still in negotiations.

Tehbotol and Lmemore had previously played on the same team at Alter Ego. At that time they were very successful and able to dominate Indonesia. They also almost became the first team from Indonesia to enter the 2021 VCT Masters, unfortunately they had to settle for 3rd position in the APAC Challengers.

Tehbotol became one of the important players for the success of BOOM Esports and is said to have received many big offers from other Asian teams.

Tehbotol with BOOM Esports became the first Indonesian team to play in the Valorant international tournament, the 2022 VCT Champions.

Even though BOOM didn’t have to fall at the start of the group stage, Tehbotol showed he was one of the best controllers in Asia and even in the world.

During the first match against OpTic Gaming, Tehbotol got 38 kills, which is currently the kill record for 1 map in the international LAN Valorant tournament.

A few days ago, RRQ announced the former head coach of ONIC G, Martin “Ewok,” as their first signing on the team. Ewok will be the head coach for the RRQ Valorant team at VCT 2023.

RRQ will compete in the kick-off tournament next February, which will feature 30 partnership/semi-franchise teams from across Asia, America and EMEA. The three-week tournament will be held in São Paulo, Brazil.
