The long journey to determine the champion of Dota 2 The International (TI) 11 finally ended on Sunday, October 30, 2022. Dota 2 fans around the world are back to see the new champion at TI11.

Yep, without any significant resistance from Team Secret, Tundra Esports managed to easily win their first TI title. The 3-0 score without reply made Tundra smoothly lift the Aegis of Champions at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

Even though the score in the grand final was fairly easy, Tundra Esports’ journey to finally becoming the strongest Dota 2 team in 2022 was not easy. This team has experienced ups and downs in performance since the 2021-2022 Dota Pro Circuit began.

The following is a recap of the journey of the new champion of The International (TI) 11, Tundra Esports, to bring home the prize of 8.4 Million USD!

Tundra is a team from Great Britain that plays in the European region. Together with Skiter, Nine, 33, Saksa, Sneyking, and the care of the cold hands of an AUI_2000, Tundra qualified for TI11 for occupying #9 Dota Pro Circuit 2021 – 2022 with 1212 points.

In fact, BOOM Esports is still better with 1482 points which occupies #7 on the Dota Pro Circuit 2021 – 2022.

The best result achieved by this team before showing its ability at TI11 was 3rd ESL One Stockholm 2022 and DPC WEU 2021/2022 Tour 3: Division I champions. Meanwhile, at the 2022 Riyadh Masters, Tundra can only be in the top 8 with TSM.

However, entering the TI11 group stage, Saksa cs was able to win group B and secure the playoff upper bracket. Since then, the team has been impressive and unbeaten until the grand finals against Team Secret.

In the playoffs, Tundra only lost 1 point against Team Secret in the final upper bracket.

According to Liquipedia.net, TI11 recorded a total prize pool of 18.8 Million USD. Tundra is entitled to take 45 percent of the total. So, Sneyking cs noted that the total prize they brought home was 8.4 million USD or around Rp. 132.1 billion.
