The International or more often abbreviated as TI, is the official Dota 2 esports tournament which is held regularly every year by Valve. Being one of the series of the Dota Pro Circuit, The International is the most prestigious peak event.
According to liquipedia.net, this event was first introduced through the Gamescom trade show in Cologne, Germany, in 2011, and was the first time the event was held.
This then managed to attract the attention of Dota players around the world because of the fantastic amount of prizes reaching a total of 1.6 Million USD, where it was the highest prize as a single esports tournament at that time.
This tournament then continues to be held every year with a total prize that is always surprising. So, the best Dota 2 players around the world are competing to prove themselves in this tournament, and make it a big dream.

Tundra Esports became the new champion at the 11th International after defeating Team Secret with a landslide score of 3-0. This is the second time the grand final has recorded a landslide score of 3-0 after Team Liquid vs Newbee at TI7 ago.
As additional information, the Dota 2 community itself also contributed to collecting the total IT prizes by buying the Battle Pass. As much as 25 percent of the sale will be added to the total prize.
The biggest prize pool in The International’s history was in 2021, which in total reached 40 million USD or around IDR 562 billion that year.
