Demo is here, is Layla Genshin Impact a must have?
The second new character in version 3.2 of Genshin Impact will be coming soon, this of course coincides with the disappearance of the Nahida banner and the Yoimiya re-run on November 18, 2022.
For now, it is not known which 4-star characters are rate-up with Layla. But of course you already know that there will be a re-run of Yae Miko and Tartaglia.

The point is that Layla is a Cryo elemental character who can provide shields to her party mates. At the same time dealing constant damage every time two get a Night Star which can give Cryo DMG to the opponent.
For elemental Burst, Layla will launch Celestial Dreamsphere which will fire Starlight Slug against enemies in its radius (similar to Lisa’s Burst) with Cryo DMG.
Is Layla Genshin Impact a Must Have?
The answer is it depends on your needs. For now, Cryo already has a shield character, Diona, which is used quite often for Ayaka’s Freeze team. He also has heal even though his shield is not as strong as Zhongli.
For Layla herself, the character will certainly focus on the shield while dealing damage to the opponent and the Cryo element which is fairly constant.
So, if your team still needs a Cryo character who has a strong shield and needs additional Cryo elements to the enemy, Layla can be your choice. If not, especially if you don’t want a 5-star character in the banner, you should skip it rather than regret getting a 5-star character that you don’t want.
