This data is strengthened in the Indonesia Esports Industry Outlook 2021, according to data from Evos Esports (one of the largest esports teams in Indonesia) out of a total of 274.5 million gamers in Southeast Asia, Indonesia contributes around 43% of the total. In addition, Indonesia also contributed the largest revenue worth USD 2.08 billion or around IDR 30 trillion.
The high number of gamers and the amount of income is an indication that the esports industry has considerable potential in Indonesia.

But unfortunately, the Indonesian esports industry also has obstacles, such as the need for internet access and at least a mobile phone for someone to be able to support this ecosystem.

In signing the memorandum of cooperation between Moonton and Garudaku Academy, it was also revealed that Moonton would open up digital access by donating smartphones to schools.

As is known, Garudaku Academy is an esports academy that stands under the auspices of the Indonesian Esports Executive Board to recruit esports talents from the world of education.
Garudaku Academy is a strategic program that will answer various challenges related to the development of an esports ecosystem with achievements, character and integrity.

Since 2018, Moonton Games has produced hundreds of esports athletes who have competed at the professional level in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Indonesia and also Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Development League Indonesia.
