E-Football Successfully Sends Representatives to the IESF 2022 Grand Final!

The ball and its world achievements are very attached to Argentina. From Diego Maradona to Leo Messi, Argentina has made achievements. But who would have thought, on the electronic ball field Argentina was successfully conquered by Indonesia. Precisely at the 14th esports world championship which was held as part of the 2022 Indonesia Esports Summit.

Elga Cahya Putra, who is an Indonesian athlete in the eFootball number, in the Upper Bracket Final round defeated Argentina with a final score of 2-1. This victory ensured that Elga advanced to the Grand Final.

Elga became the E-Football Representative at the IESF 2022 Grand Final

With Elga qualifying for the Grand Final, Indonesia has temporarily pocketed 2 (two) Grand Final tickets. The first Indonesian representative to qualify for the Grand Final is the Mobile Legend National Esports Team: Bang Bang (MLBB).

Elga’s own journey to the Upper Bracket finals can be said to be very impressive. He managed to get rid of strong representatives from Serbia and Saudi Arabia. Against the representative of Saudi Arabia, Alqarni Amjad, Elga even appeared excellent with a 2-0 victory.

“It is very proud to witness the actions of our esports athletes who are members of the Indonesian National Team who are specially prepared to compete in the 14th esports world championship which is part of the big Indonesia Esports Summit 2022 event. We hope that the success of MLBB and eFootball in qualifying for the Grand Final will be an encouragement and increase the confidence of other Indonesian teams,” said Secretary General of the Indonesian Esports Executive Board (PB ESI), Frengky Ong.

Asked by the media crew about the key to his victory, Elga answered, “Stay focused and keep trying to stay mentally awake.”

Regarding the preparation for the most prestigious round which will determine who will bring home the eFootball Number World Champion, Elga made a short statement that he would get enough rest and sleep.

Elga’s victory also carries its own meaning in the midst of the deep sorrow experienced by Coach Adyatma Priady. It is reported that Adyatma’s mother passed away when she was fighting for Indonesia’s victory.

Meanwhile, Argentina must go down to the Lower Bracket to wait for the winner of the Turkey vs Serbia match to compete in the Lower Bracket final in order to fight for a place in the Grand Final against Indonesia.
