Here’s the New Points System for PUBG Mobile Esports in 2023! More Aggressive!

PUBG Mobile has revealed a new points system for the 2023 esports season. This will pave the way for even more thrilling and strategy-based competitions. With the PMGC Finals closing on January 8th, the 2022 season is over.

In the 2023 season, thanks to the new matrix, the team will need to make some changes to their strategy and gameplay. This is because the new point system has lowered the value of placement points.

PUBG Mobile players from around the world will kick off their 2023 season featuring new rules by competing in the first ever regional tournament. However, Tencent and Krafton have yet to reveal the game’s spring event schedule.

New System Points For PUBG Mobile 2023

The upcoming new season of PUBGM will use the 10 point system, which has been followed in PUBG PC tournaments for a long time. In fact, Tencent already implemented this new points system in early 2022 for the league in China.

However, there are some differences between the scoring system used in Chinese leagues and the one recently introduced. This is because in esports they feature 15 teams, not 16.

Previously, the winning team of the Chicken Dinner was rewarded with 15 points; this value has now decreased by five points. The second place finisher will be awarded six points instead of 12, while the third will be awarded five.

The following is the distribution of points in the 2023 season according to the team’s ranking in one match:

• 1st Place – 10 points
• 2nd Place – 6 points
• Winner 3 – 5 points
• Champion 4 – 4 points
• Champion 5 – 3 points
• Champion 6 – 2 points
• Winner 7 – 1 point
• Champion 8 – 1 point
• Champion 9 – 0 points
• Champion 10 – 0 points
• Champion 11 – 0 points
• Champion 12 – 0 points
• Champion 13 – 0 points
• 14th place – 0 points
• 15th place – 0 points
• 16th place – 0 points

The difference in the way points are allocated between the old and new scoring systems will require teams to focus on an elimination-based strategy to earn more points in tournaments.

Indeed, in recent years PUBG Mobile has wanted its esports to be more interesting with more elimination points from battles than just placement points.

In mid-2020 (during PMPL S2), Tencent introduced a 15 point system which will be followed until the end of the 2022 season. To make PUBG Mobile esports more competitive, Krafton and Tencent have introduced the new system.
