Valorant VCT 2023 First Tournament Format & Schedule LOCK//IN Brazil! It’s Against the RRQ Team!

Valorant will start their new era in 2023. 30 teams have been selected to join in 3 different regional leagues. Each regional league will have 10 teams that will compete in this franchise system.

To kick off VCT 2023, Riot and Valorant have created 1 special international tournament to introduce these teams.

30 Valorant franchise teams and 2 teams from China will fly to Sao Paolo, Brazil to show off their new team. The 2 teams from China are EDward Gaming and FunPlus Phoenix ZHUQUE.

From Indonesia itself there is RRQ and there are also 2 Indonesian players on the Singapore team, Paper Rex.

VCT Schedules & Formals 2023 LOCK//IN Brazil

VCT LOCK::IN Brasil format

This VCT LOCK//IN tournament will roll on date 13 February to 4 March 2023. The system that will be used in VCT LOCK//IN Brazil is a BO3 single elimination system. So that means, if you lose, the team will immediately fall out of this tournament.

The team has been divided into 2 charts namely Alpha chart and Omega chart. Where there will be only 2 teams left from each chart.

These last 4 teams will play for who will be the first champion of Valorant in 2023. The winning team will be given 1 more slot for their region in Masters 1 later.

There will be 2 teams that will be represented by Indonesia or Indonesian players. For the team itself, RRQ will be the only representative from Indonesia where they will rely on a mix roster between Indonesian and Filipino players.

One more team is Paper Rex from Singapore where 2 players from Indonesia namely Jason ‘F0rsaken” Susanto and Aaron “Mindfreak” Leonhart will represent this team.

VCT LOCK::IN Brasil Bracket

RRQ will be making their official debut at VCT 2023 on 24 February 2023, at 03:00 WIB. Their opponent is a team from Turkey, namely FUT Esports.

Paper Rex himself will play against one of the Valorant superteams, Cloud9. They will play on the date 15 February 2023, 06:00 WIB.
