Free Fire SEA Invitationals – May 2023

Free Fire Esports will launch the newest tournament Free Fire SEA Invitationals (FFSI) as a competition that will present a number of competitive regions competing. This competition will be held in May 2023 for 3 weeks and will bring together 18 teams from the MCPS region, Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, Europe, MEA, Taiwan and Pakistan.

Free Fire World Series – November 2023

Garena also confirmed that the iconic competition series Free Fire World Series (FFWS) will return in November 2023. As a tournament with the highest caste in the Free Fire Global world, FFWS 2023 will bring together the best strong teams from various regions, including from Brazil and Latin America.

New Format, New Challenge

The new international tournament from Free Fire Esports will also come with a new, more challenging format with two phases, namely the Group Stage and the Grand Finals. In the Group Stage phase, 18 teams will fight for 2 weeks to secure the top 12 positions so they can qualify for the Grand Finals. All teams will be divided into three groups of six teams each. There will be a total of six matches with each match pitting two Groups together in the Group Stage stage.

Unlike the previous Free Fire international tournaments, now the Grand Finals will be held longer in a league format. The 12 teams that qualify from the Group Stage will compete for 3 days with a total of 18 rounds of matches or 6 rounds of matches per day. The team with the highest accumulation of points from the 12 teams is ordained as the champion. The format of the competition and the longer duration of the competition will make the Free Fire tournament even tighter and more challenging!

Free Fire Master League Season 7

As a step toward FFSI in May 2023, Free Fire Esports will look for the best team that deserves to represent Indonesia through the Free Fire Master League Season 7. This tournament will be ready to be held starting March 3, 2023 and will bring together 18 of the strongest teams in the Indonesian Free Fire competition, including familiar teams, such as EVOS Divine, RRQ Kazu, and the champion of FFML Season VI Division 1, SES Alfaink.

The composition of the 18 teams consists of 11 FFML Season VI Division 1, 3 FFML Season VI Division 2 teams, and 4 teams from the FFML Season 7 Qualification round. The format of this competition will also go through two phases, namely the Regular Season and the Grand Finals. The Regular Season is held in a group format and will look for the 12 best teams to qualify for the Grand Finals. The championship title will be given to the team that is able to top the standings in the Grand Finals. The champion and three other teams that managed to finish in the top four represented Indonesia at FFSI.
