Thanks to Dehya’s Teaser, Genshin Impact Fans Donate.

Genshin Impact Dehya’s animated short recently motivated Chinese players to donate to one of the country’s charities for underprivileged children.

In the anime’s game teaser, we see Dehya making a sizable donation to help the Sumeru Desert orphans leave the harsh environment they were born in.

Dehya himself named his charity wall of hope, and in the real world, there are indeed charities Project of Hopeand both support children in some way.

Charity Project of Hope, which is a student assistance project that aims to increase the cost of studying and living for children.

In the animated short, Dehya uses an amount of mora described as his ‘lifetime savings’ to create charity in Sumeru City after saving a child from a desert sandstorm. It all feels like a positive call to action, especially if you know about Project of Hope.

As for the size of the donation, Genshin players in China have donated CN¥6.48 (Rp. 15,000) or CN¥64.80 (Rp. 143,000) or CN¥648 (Rp. 1.5 million) respectively. Why 648?

Perhaps one of the reasons is because this is the highest amount players can pay to top up their Genshin Genesis Crystals, being 6,480 in China.

Not only that, the fans also left messages on the Project of Hope website with the words ‘Dehya’s Wall of Hope (Tembok Harapan Dehya)’.

Along with their donation, they also left a message on the Hope Project web page that reads ‘Dehya’s Wall of Hope.’

Along with Dehya’s quote about the Samiel Sumeru Wall that separates the desert from the city itself: “The wall was never meant to keep things out. It’s for protection.”
