Never Winning, RRQ Lmemore Explains Why He Continues to Pick Lotus at VCT Pacific 2023.
Lotus is the newest map that has been released by Valorant on January 10, 2023. With the release of a new map, teams want to be the first to master this new map.
Being able to master the new map the fastest will definitely make his team excel in every match. This seems to be the case for the Valorant Rex Regum Qeon (RRQ) team.
In their 3 official matches, Lotus has always been the map pick from RRQ. Against FUT Esports in VCT LOCK//IN, Gen.G in week 1 VCT Pacific and ZETA Divison in week 2 VCT Pacific.
The unique thing is, RRQ has never won in the 3 matches where they have this Lotus map. And not only that, they have never won more than 6 rounds in the 3 Lotus maps they have played.

Why RRQ Always Pick Lotus
Regarding this, SPIN Esports asked RRQ players, Lmemore through interviews why Lotus has always been RRQ’s top pick but they always get slaughtered in this map.
“Confused too [kenapa kalah]. We are scrim Lotus, we are always superior, we always win, that’s why we are confident because in scrim, whoever we play against, we win at Lotus.” Lmemore said.
Hagai or commonly known as RRQ Lmemore also said that when on stage there were many things that shouldn’t have been done instead in this Lotus map.
“Only every stage, for some reason, for example we are attacking, after getting space, it’s like there’s something we shouldn’t do. Maybe there was a miss communication and I was a bit nervous on stage.” Lmemore replied.

Copy Lmemore, during the scrum interview, the assistant coach of RRQ Yb also gave his opinion about their Lotus which was not optimal.
“We know [komposisi hero] on Lotus it actually works [dari scrim] but don’t know why it doesn’t work in the match [offisial]. Maybe we will ban this map [kedepannya]I think it’s not a big deal, because we know [gameplay kita] can work. And we have to really find out why we played so badly when we competed. Maybe we need to change some things too.” Yb said.
Like, from the scrim results, Lotus is the best map for RRQ Valorant. But several reasons prevented them from performing on stage.
It will be very interesting to see whether RRQ will still choose this map for their next match.
