DRX Buzz Was Surprised To See Talon Esports Playing 3 Duelists Against Them In VCT Pacific 2023!

In week 3 the Pacific VCT league gives us lots of very hot and exciting matchups. From Paper Rex vs T1, Zeta Division vs Global Esports and DRX vs Talon Esports.

But the most interesting thing that happened was the DRX vs Talon Esports match on Map 1 Split. Surprisingly, Talon played with not 1 or 2 duelists but 3 duelists.

On map 1, the team from Thailand plays with Jett, Raze and Yoru as the duelists. These 3 agents are supported by Breach and Astra.

It’s like they really want to surprise their opponent with a line up composition that is quite strange and unusual. But their pick would be disastrous for them.

Even though they started as attackers first, they were instead slaughtered 0-8 before winning their first round in round 9. But they had to lose to DRX with a score of 3-13 in their chosen map.

DRX Buzz Was Surprised To See The Composition Of Agents From Talon Esports

During the VCT Pacific scrum interview, SPIN Esports asked Buzz about the composition of these 3 duelists and whether they expected this to happen.

DRXBuzz says, “to be honest we weren’t expecting the pick, we were surprised by the pick, but we told ourselves we couldn’t let it snowball by an aggressive lineup and I think our team did pretty well today”

Even though DRX may have been surprised by the choice of agents from Talon Esports, they are still comfortable facing them. And it was proven that DRX was able to win 13-3 in Map 1 Split yesterday.

Map 2 at Pearl was a bit tighter but DRX was still able to close this match with a score of 2-0.

Apart from DRX, coach Talon Esports Zeus also gave his reasons why they dared to use these 3 duelists.

“We hope to have a lot of fights, we want to fight them” Talon Zeus said.

Indeed, the Talon Esports strategy was not successful and instead was helped by DRX. And this is probably one of the ways Talon can beat the top teams with their odd and surprising lineups.
