RRQ Getting Stronger, We Won’t Underestimate Anyone!

Not Yet Defeated, Coach DRX Termi: RRQ Getting Stronger, We Won’t Underestimate Anyone!

There are only 4 matches left for the VCT 2023 Pacific League per team. There are already several teams that can be said to have locked their place in the playoffs later.

Some of these teams are DRX teams who are still undefeated with a 5-0 record. There is also Gen.G with a 4-1 record which is very likely to enter the playoffs.

With this there are only 4 more teams that can follow these two teams into the playoffs later. One of those teams is the Rex Regum Qeon (RRQ) team, which is currently in 7th place.

But they have to face the king of Asia, namely DRX in the upcoming week 6. This is definitely not an easy thing because DRX looks to be still one level above the other Asia Pacific teams.

Seeing RRQ’s improved performance recently, during the scrum interview, SPIN Esports asked coach DRX Termi about the match against RRQ later.

Coach DRX Termi: RRQ Getting Stronger Week on Week

With only 4 matches remaining for RRQ, each of their matches is very important if they want to enter the playoffs in the VCT 2023 Pacific League.

DRX Termi RRQ

Even though RRQ was looked down upon at the start of the season, they have started to show their fangs in the last few weeks. As for coach DRX Termi himself, he also feels that RRQ is a team that is getting stronger and they will not underestimate anyone they play against.

“So RRQ have been a team that is looked down upon since they were announced to the league, but we can see that they are getting better week by week. There is a new map coming into the rotation next week (week 6) so we won’t underestimate anyone here and try to maintain a winstreak.” said the coach named Pyeon Seon-ho.

With the new map Bind possibly being a strong map for RRQ, this could be the key for RRQ. But it seems DRX still believes they will maintain their win streak in week 6.

RRQ’s trainer, Ewok, when asked at the scrum interview, gave his plans to fight against DRX later.

“We will prepare with a plan to win the series. That’s what we need, we need a win now if we want to make the playoffs. And the taller we are, the better our chances depending on which team we are up against. For us we know they are a very strong team, and we will focus on ourselves and see how we can play our way and win games our way.” said the coach from South Africa.

Their biggest problem in week 5 losing to T1 is that they are too trying to read the opponent’s game. And it seems like in week 6 there will be another change in strategy where they will focus more on their own game.
